Bullous pemphigoid is a chronic autoimmune skin disorder characterized by the formation of large, tense blisters or bullae on the skin. It primarily affects elderly individuals, typically over the age of 60, although it can occur at any age.

In this learning module, you will find a bullet-point review of the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, differential diagnosis and treatment options for pemphigoid dermatoses. Mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP) and epidermolysis bullosa acquista (EBA) are also discussed in addition to bullous pemphigoid (BP).

To test your knowledge, we invite you to complete the associated quiz and clinical vignette.
