Potassium Hydroxide (KOH)

Formulations 

  • 2.5% – 15% solution

Dosage 

  • Commonly 5% KOH applied twice daily until all lesions irritated

  • Alkali that penetrates and destroys skin by dissolving keratin

  • Molluscum contagiosum

  • Burning, stinging, pain, post-inflammatory dyspigmentation
