Intralesional Immunotherapy

  • Skin Antigens (Candida, Mumps, Trichophyton)
  • Treatment regimen is injection every 2-4 weeks with 0.1-0.3 mL of Candida antigen at the base of the largest lesion, or divided into multiple lesions
  • Candida antigen stimulates production of T-helper cytokines that activate cytotoxic and NK cells which combat human papilloma virus

Off-label

  • Verruca vulgaris and anogenital warts
  • Molluscum contagiosum
  • Overall, well tolerated, can have injection site pain, erythema, pruritus
