Lichenoid keratosis

LEGEND

Clinicopathologic correlation is essential, as it histologically resembles lichen planus.

This represents an inflammatory reaction to a benign lesion. One may sometimes observe actinic keratosis, seborrheic keratosis, or solar lentigo at the periphery of the inflammation.

  • Vacuolar interface dermatitis with a band-like lymphohistiocytic infiltrate

  • Presence of parakeratosis, which distinguishes it from classic lichen planus
