LEGEND

This is a case of leukemia cutis in a patient with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

  • The epidermis is normal, with the presence of a Grenz zone.

  • Significant hemorrhage is often observed in the specimen, secondary to thrombocytopenia associated with AML; extravasated red blood cells (RBCs) are seen.
