Mucocele

A mucocele is a pseudocyst, meaning a cystic space that lacks an epithelial lining. It is often ruptured following a biopsy.
It is composed of sialomucin and surrounded by a mixed inflammatory infiltrate (including lymphocytes, histiocytes, and fibroblasts) as well as granulation tissue.
