Unlike pustular psoriasis, a greater presence of eosinophils, edema of the papillary dermis, and sometimes necrotic keratinocytes is observed.

  • Spongiosis with formation of subcorneal or intraepidermal pustules. There is typically accentuation around hair follicles and at the level of the acrosyringium.
