Neuroma – palisaded encapsulated neuroma type

LEGEND

A neuroma is composed of axons and Schwann cells.

Its name is a misnomer; it is not truly encapsulated.

It gives the impression of being encapsulated because the nerve bundles are grouped, well-defined, and surrounded by clefts at the periphery.
